A Place That Shapes Character
Here, in our remote corner of the world, we are shaped a little differently. Life on the Skellig Coast has never been easy. For generations, people here have worked hard to make a living, and many were forced to leave for distant shores. Yet within this landscape lies a quiet strength. A belief in opportunity. A desire for a life well lived. Each challenge faced, each step taken, builds character. That spirit of perseverance, gratitude and purpose continues to define Skellig Six18 today.
We are inspired by storytellers, adventurers and hard workers.
By stories of travel and invention, of graft and perseverance. By journeys that take people to the far corners of the world and bring them home again to the Skellig Coast.
We admire those who move forward with determination and grit, putting one foot in front of the other to achieve their purpose. We look to the seabirds off the Skellig Coast, braving Atlantic storms. They may fall, but they rise again, teaching us resilience, humility and strength.
These are the stories that inspire us.
The people, places, and stories that influence our work and values.
Skellig Six18 was born from the Skellig community, built at the edge of two worlds in Cahersiveen, often described as the town that climbs the mountain and looks upon the sea.
For centuries, people have settled in this dramatic landscape, shaped by the constant presence of sea and mountain. It is a place of untamed beauty, mirrored in the people who live here.
Whether returning after months or many years away, friends and family are drawn back to feel the Atlantic wind, the sea spray, and the salt in the air. This connection to place binds us together.
Each step forward offers a new perspective.
