Irish Whiskey. Atlantic Aged.
Crafted at the edge of the world.
At Skellig Six18, our Triple Cask Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is a bold expression of tradition and innovation—an ode to the most distinctive style in Irish whiskey-making. Crafted from a mash of malted and unmalted barley, then triple distilled for exceptional smoothness, this Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is as rich in story as it is in flavour.
Winner of Best Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey at the Berlin International Spirits Challenge 2024 and one of three category Masters Medalists in the Irish Global Spirits Masters 2023 – Skellig Irish Whiskey is a fitting exponent of the Single Pot Still style.
Matured first in ex-Bourbon barrels, this Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey finishes in Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry and ex-peated Scotch casks. Each cask influences the whiskey in its own unique way: the Bourbon brings warmth and vanilla, the ex-peated cask adds depth and the slightest touch of smoke, and PX crowns it all with a velvety sweetness and dried fruit finish.
The wild Atlantic meets the stillness of whiskey in the cask here in Cahersiveen. In our coastal maturation warehouse, ocean air shapes the whiskey’s final character. This natural ageing process infuses it with maritime nuance and a sense of place that can’t be replicated.
Nose – Nuts, caramel and wood with hints of chamomile.
Taste – Dried fruit with hints of papaya, fresh jalapeños, juice apples and wafting smoke.
Finish – Balanced and long finish.
Our bottle design draws inspiration from the night skies above Skellig Michael, where ancient sailors once used the constellations to navigate their journeys. Located in Ireland’s only Gold Tier Dark Sky Reserve, our distillery honours this celestial legacy in every bottle.
